T= troop count
A= attack value assigned to a particular troop. Ie V4 catapult says 15 attack etc.
E=enhancements
M=military technology(the newest tech section)
BD=total base damage
(T x A)+E+M=BD
Example for catapults
Troop count = 10,000
Attack = 15
Enhancements = 1920
military technology = 500 (that is not the highest it goes this is just an example)
now time to figure out the total base damage
(10,000 x 15)+1920+500= 17,420
So our above example sets our total base damage for catapults at 17,420.
I do believe that is how it is calculated however if anyone finds any errors that are of interest let me know. Hopefully their will be more technical examples in the future here or on Brainiacs new anal probing tumblr.
